Train your brain to work at its best
ADHD can affect much more than the ability to pay attention. It can influence your organization, working memory, emotional and physiological regulation, time management, task completion, and day-to-day functioning at home, school, work, and even in relationships.
At the ADD Centre, we recognize that ADHD affects each person differently. That’s why our approach is fully personalized. Based on your needs, goals, strengths, and assessment findings, we can develop a comprehensive ADHD treatment plan that may incorporate a range of evidence-informed training and support options.

Our goal is to help you better understand how ADHD affects you or your child, identify areas where additional support may be helpful, and find practical approaches for managing everyday challenges.
Is This What You’re Struggling with?
ADHD can look different from one person to another. For some people, difficulties with attention are the most noticeable. For others, the biggest challenges may involve organization, working memory, self-regulation, or following through on everyday responsibilities.
You (or your child) may be struggling with:
Staying focused on tasks, conversations, or schoolwork
Getting started on tasks, even when they are important
Keeping track of responsibilities, belongings, or deadlines
Planning and organizing multi-step tasks
Managing time and estimating how long things will take

Following through and completing what was started
These challenges can be frustrating, especially when you know what you need to do but have difficulty consistently putting it into action.
The ADHD support we provide at ADD Centre can help you identify the areas that are causing the biggest challenges and provide you with proven strategies and brain training based on your individual needs. We also help you identify your strengths and use them to achieve your goals.
What Does ADHD Training Look Like?
In-person ADHD training in Toronto & Mississauga
There is no single training approach that is right for everyone with ADHD.
At the ADD Centre, support begins with understanding your situation. Following an assessment and discussion of your needs and goals, we consider which areas would be most useful to address and which training or support options will be most effective.
Depending on your circumstances, an ADHD program may focus on areas such as attention and cognitive functioning, working memory, self-regulation, executive functioning, stress and arousal, or practical coping skills for everyday life.
Such a personalized process allows our support to be shaped around your needs rather than expect you to follow a “one-fits-all program”.

Our Approach to ADHD Therapy, Training & Support
Here at the ADD Centre, we offer a range of training and support options. Find out more below.
Neurofeedback for ADHD
Neurofeedback is a brain-based training approach designed to support improved self-regulation, attention and cognitive functioning.
It may be incorporated into an individualized program when these areas are identified as relevant to a client’s needs and goals.

Biofeedback for ADHD
Biofeedback helps our clients develop greater awareness of physiological responses associated with stress, arousal and attention.
Through biofeedback training, you can work on recognizing and regulating these responses. This may be particularly relevant when regulation and physiological arousal are part of the challenges affecting your everyday functioning.

Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS)
Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation, or tDCS, is a non-invasive brain stimulation approach.
For selected clients, tDCS may be considered as one component of a broader training plan. Whether it is appropriate in your situation is determined by our specialists based on your assessment, needs, and overall program.

Cogmed Working Memory Training
Working memory allows us to hold and work with information for short periods of time. It can be important for following instructions, completing multi-step activities, problem-solving, and many everyday tasks.
Cogmed is a structured computerized training program designed to strengthen working memory and related cognitive skills.

Metacognitive & Executive Function Coaching
Metacognitive and executive function coaching focuses on practical strategies that can help you navigate everyday responsibilities more effectively.
Depending on your needs, coaching may address:
• Organization and planning
• Time management
• Task initiation
• Self-monitoring
• Problem-solving
• Developing strategies for completing everyday tasks
The goal is to develop strategies that can be applied to real-life challenges at school, work, home, and in daily routines.

Individual & Parent Counselling & Coaching
Counselling and coaching can provide a space for you to better understand ADHD and develop strategies for managing its impact.
Here, the ADHD support may focus on understanding your personal challenges and developing effective approaches for navigating them.
Parent counselling and coaching can help parents better understand their child’s needs, strengthen communication, and develop strategies for addressing challenges at home, school and in everyday life.

Integrated Listening Systems (iLs)
This approach uses listening-based programming that may be incorporated into an individualized plan to support regulation, relaxation, and nervous-system calming.
As with our other training options, its use depends on your needs and goals.
